IPAC Vancouver Regional Group depends on talented and dedicated volunteers to operate our regional group and develop programs for our members. While attending our events can help expand your networks and further your skills, we believe volunteering with the executive committee provides unique opportunities that can help further your personal and professional goals. LIST OF IPAC VRG EXECUTIVE POSITIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The IPAC Vancouver Regional Group Executive Committee positions are outlined below. The positions are not limited to the exact outline below and can be adapted for the role requirements as needed. Please be aware these positions are usually held during a 2-year period (2018/2019). All positions but the Chair/Vice-Chair can be held as a co-lead role to share responsibilities.
The IPAC Vancouver Regional Group Executive Committee positions are outlined below. The positions are not limited to the exact outline below and can be adapted for the role requirements as needed. Please be aware these positions are usually held during a 2-year period (2018/2019). All positions but the Chair/Vice-Chair can be held as a co-lead role to share responsibilities.
1. Chair: This position takes the lead for meeting agendas and future strategic directions; is the Regional Group liaison to IPAC National regarding regional issues; encourages participation, reviews succession plans and acts as mentor for other positions.
2. Vice Chair: This position replaces the Chair when absent for meetings or Regional events; encourages participation, reviews succession plans and prepares to become the Chair in the future. 3. National Representative: his position is the representative to IPAC National for strategic directions and activities at the National Board level. Due to the Regional Council being formed, it is unknown at this time if this position will be required in the future. 4. Secretary: This position is in charge of preparing and circulating meeting minutes and agendas; setting up Outlook meeting invites. 5. Treasurer: This position is in charge of the financial records; receiving and disbursing monies; reporting periodically the financial position to the Executive Group and filing financial reports with IPAC National. 6. Membership Chair: This position takes the lead for reviewing and maintaining the email listings (IPAC list serve + IPAC National membership reports) with updates, new networks, partnerships, alliances etc. and reporting results to the Executive Group. This position also takes the lead on producing draft posters and emails for advertising regional events. |
7. Programming Chair: This position takes the lead for reviewing annual program plans, suggesting event ideas, searching out new speakers and connecting with our Partners for participation.
8. Logistics Coordinator: This position takes the lead for logistics at regional events using the Session Plan template, seeks volunteers for regional events and includes all Directors in discussions about the events. 9. New Professionals Chair: This position is the lead for activities undertaken by the New Professions Group - mainly with Governexx and the City of Vancouver, reports progress of events and sits on the Executive Group as a liaison so events can be planned jointly. 10. Communications and Marketing Chair: This position takes the lead for reviewing marketing plans, suggesting new marketing channels and innovative ways to communicate with members and potential members of IPAC, and reporting results to the Executive Group. 11. Web Site/Social Media Coordinator: This position maintains the Vancouver Regional Group’s website; also participates with the Marketing Chair for innovative ways to market regional events, e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc. 12. Members at Large: These positions participate in meetings to support the direction of the VRG, suggest ideas for regional events, support the officers in their work and volunteer for tasks at the regional events. |
